EXTENUA ADDS SUPPORT FOR AWS IDENTITY AND ACCESS MANAGEMENT

Cloud2Drive software presents Amazon S3 buckets as virtual drives much like on-premise NAS now adds support for AWS IAM with advance end-node security and access.

SAN JOSE, CA–(PRNewswire – January 19, 2016) – Extenua Inc., a pioneering developer of end-to-end storage security software that simplifies the use and access of ubiquitous on-premise and cloud storage, today announced its flagship product, Cloud2DriveTM now supports Amazon AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).  Cloud2Drive coupled with AWS IAM support delivers advanced features for access, collaboration and control of your Amazon S3 buckets never before available in the market to date.

Cloud2Drive software allows users and enterprises to utilize Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) for all their unstructured data storage requirements in one of the most secure schema available today.  Cloud2Drive functions the same as a network drive utilizing Extenua’s patent-pending virtual clustered file system SAFE AI architecture.   Cloud2Drive creates a secure access connection to the back-end data storage, thus eliminating the need for cumbersome VPN software and PGP-like key server management.  Its patent pending security algorithms exceed most regulatory compliance such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS.  Cloud2Drive utilizes Advanced Encryption Standard 256 bit FIPS 140-2 accredited cryptographic modules in a unique implementation, which makes it practically impossible to breach.

“We are elated to offer a product such as Cloud2Drive with AWS IAM support” said Steve Visconti, Extenua President and CEO. “The enterprise and public sector not only have the strongest security platform which includes mobility, but now can be deployed as a fully functioning secure cloud storage collaboration platform for unstructured data.”

“The addition of IAM support to Cloud2Drive allows our users to delegate access to third parties while retaining full control of credentials and encryption keys,” said Federico Simonetti, Extenua founder and CTO. “This further extends the granularity of Cloud2Drive’s security model when the back-end storage runs on the Amazon platform.”
